This will include any other refrigeration units that are end of life or due to regulation change will not be repaired where repairs involve recovery of refrigerant. The University has in excess of 100 units that are affected by the F-Gas Regulations and the Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS Regulations (EU Regulation 2037/2000). The University will be looking for a replacement programme as and whe.

The equipment comprises of a total of approximately 1 100 plant items (approximately 700 are covered under the F-Gas Regulations), including a majority of small to medium DX Split Systems/Heat Pumps and 40 plus small to medium chilled water process cooling units, air handling units, humidifiers, and fan coil cassette units, from a wide range of manufacturers and specialist system suppliers that the Contractor will be required to support.

Lot 1 will be awarded to one supplier. Suppliers must tender for both Option 1 and Option 2. The University reserves the right to award the Most Economically Advantageous Tender between the two options.
The University reserves the right to:

b) Award Lot 2 to one supplier;
c) Award Lot 2 to 2 or 3 suppliers.
