The University of Birmingham has a requirement for a repair and maintenance service for Refrigeration Equipment within (a) catering areas on the main University campus, at catered student residences and at the Conference Park; and (b) in its scientific and medical laboratories for refrigerators, freezers, low temperature (-80°) freezers, cryostats, centrifuge cooling equipment and other specialised cooling equipment. There may also be an occasional requirement for the service to be provided for domestic refrigerators within office areas. Current total spend on this service is approximately 50 000 GBP per annum.
