Description of these options: No contractual commitment will be made beyond the end of the Development Stage (phase 1), in June 2016. However, if the project’s Round 2 application to the HLF for funding for the Delivery Stage (phase 2) if successful, and depending on performance during the Development Stage, the Consultant Design Team’s contract may be extended to the Delivery Stage, to provide services from RIBA Stage 4 (Technical Design) to RIBA Stage 6 (Handover and Close Out) inclusive. Tendering consultant teams must not assume that contract extension will be automatic.
