Description of the goods or services required

The Council is currently licensed for the Sophos products required until the 30th September 2012 and is looking to renew the licences on the above contracts for a 3 year period.

Inverclyde Council is seeking from authorised Sophos resellers for the renewal of these licences.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The council is looking to renew the following number of licences:-

Sopho’s Complete Security – 1400 licences

Sopho’s Endpoint web protection Advanced – 4000 licences

Sopho’s Safeguard Enterprise – 3900 licences

3 Conditions for Participation


Minimum standards and qualification required

Tenderers must pass the Mandatory Requirements contained within the tender document. Tenderers must attach a copy of their audited accounts (or equivalent) and the accounts of the group (if applicable) for the last 3 financial years in English and UK Sterling together with details of any significant changes since the last year end. If the tenderer has not been trading for 3 years, please provide financial accounts for the life of the organisation.

Accounts will be assessed in conjunction with a Dunn & Bradstreet check. In order for tenderers to pass this financial status section of the selection criteria, tenderers must have a Dunn & Bradstreet risk of 1 or 2, a score of 3 or more is an automatic failure and the tender will not be considered.

The annual contract value must also be less than 33% of tenderers turnover

Applicants are strongly advised to satisfy themselves that they meet these criteria as failure of the financial check will mean that their application will not be considered further. Applicants should also satisfy themselves that their Dun and Bradstreet ratings are correct and it is the applicant’s responsibility to raise any queries with Dun and Bradstreet if they feel a correction is required. The Council will rely on the risk rating it obtains at the time it performs the D&B financial check
