Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) are setting up a new framework agreement for contractors to support our in-house repairs & maintenance service with repairs and empty homes work in council managed housing.
The contracts will commence on 1st April 2022 for a term of 4 years.
Before we begin the formal procurement process, we are holding an online ‘market engagement’ session to understand the current market interest and capacity, discuss the proposed lot structure and social and added value considerations with potential bidders.
The proposed contract framework
The framework will be divided into eight lots. We’re anticipating that contractors will deliver support based on their specialist trade discipline so that work can be complete for residents in an efficient and timely manner.
The areas the lots will cover are:
• Asbestos removal
• Empty homes repairs and clearance
• Damp and condensation
• General building repairs (including carpentry, masonry,
plastering and plumbing)
• Floor fitting
• Roofing repairs
• Window and door repairs
This is not a call for competition – a separate notice will be published when a procurement procedure commences. The information in this notice is demonstrative of current arrangements and provided in order for interested organisations to understand the potential scope.
The Council make no guarantee that any or all of the services and scope detailed in the notice will be included in the same format in any future procurement.
The market engagement session will take place at 10am on the 20th July 2021 via Microsoft Teams. We expect that the session will last no longer than two hours.
If you’re interested in attending the engagement session, please email us on FutureRepairs@brighton-hove.gov.uk
Please provide your name, company name, company address, email and contact telephone number. We’re inviting one participant per organisation.
We will then send you an invitation to the virtual Microsoft Teams meeting.
The deadline for requests to attend the session is 2pm on Monday 19th July.
Please be aware that your name and email address may be visible to other participants during the meeting and on the invitation.
