II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
a. The General Medical council is seeking to carry out replacement of some of the air conditioning systems located on the 4th and 7th floors in St James’s Building;
b. An asset list of the current installation of air conditioning equipment the GMC are looking to replace can be found in Annex A;
c. The GMC is open to suggestions on the type of system which the provider feels would be most beneficial in terms of heating and cooling the areas concerned together with environmental considerations and potential energy savings;
d. Consideration should be given to life-cycle costs. This can be demonstrated with details of what the costs would be for ongoing maintenance and availability of spare parts;
e. Consideration should also be given to energy saving opportunities. The provider should look at payback times and highlight any anticipated drop in energy consumption.
