Alterations to the Romsey Rapids building including new concrete bases for replacement air handling units. All enabling, power, gas, water, air and heat service alterations with telemetry/control works including the replacement of the existing internally located air handling unit by two new external air handling units with at least 80 % heat recovery, together with replacement of the extract and supply ducting. Disposal of all redundant arisings and ducting is included. The bulk of the redundant air handling unit may be abandoned in situ. The work also includes exposing corrosion damaged reinforcement to concrete column and slab structures in the basement, disposal of arisings, repair and reinstatement. There will be a 12 month defect liability period and tenderers will need to ensure that full service is maintained. For this purpose, 24 hour recovery of service will be required, in the event of any failure which is a consequence of the works.
