Description of the contract

We are requesting quotations for the delivery of an Open Content Exchange Platform as part of the ‘The Europeana Space project (grant agreement number 621037) that has received funding from the European Commission’s ICT policy support programme as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme’, to include expert advice on issues around open licensing of digital assets and the dissemination strategy for the open content provided by the project’s content holders including ways in which open content can be monetised. The goal of Open Content Exchange Platform is to support the exchange of openly licensed digital content on the web by the Creative Industries and wider civil society. Results from the platform will inform further research and policy making in the cultural heritage sphere, specifically around business models for open cultural content. Throughout the term “open” is used in the sense of the Open Definition (http://opendefinition.org) which states that a “piece of data or content is open if anyone is free to use, reuse, and redistribute it subject only, at most, to the requirement to attribute and/or share-alike.” This project is being funded by the European Commission’s ICT policy support programme as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme, and no more than €60,000 including VAT is available for this piece of work. ALL related services, expenses and costs MUST be included in the proposal. Please make this clear within your pricing schedule.
