Description

Derby City Council has a requirement for the shredding and secure disposal of confidential printed materials at its main location, The Council House, Derby and all its other office locations within the city environs. The successful contractor shall have a directly employed workforce and the organisation shall comply with all necessary processes, relevant industry legislation, European and British Standard Codes of Practice when undertaking these works which, as a mandatory minimum shall be: · Membership of BSIA (British Security Industry Association – Whose mandatory membership criteria include EN15713:2009 Secure Destruction of Confidential Materials, BS7858:2012 – Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment + ISO9001:2000 Quality Management Standard)
or · Membership of NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) – AAA Certified members preferred + evidence of the following: · EN15713:2009 – The Secure Destruction of Confidential Materials ; · BS7858:2012 – Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment; · ISO9001:2000 Quality Management Standard. The contractor shall operate his own custom built vehicles fit for purpose who shall attend all Derby City locations for secure on-site destruction of all confidential waste materials.All works shall be directly undertaken by the contractor and no element of the works shall be sub-contracted.
