Description of the contract
English Heritage’s East Midlands office, based in Northampton, require conservation accredited architects/surveyors to tender for an urgent programme of works in relation to buildings which have been offered a grant under the Repair Grants for Places of Worship scheme. The sites are in the Lincolnshire area and will be split in to 5 Lots based on their geographical location . Each lot will contain a maximum of 5 places of worship. The projects are all at various stages of development and are for a fixed period of time during the project cycle. All projects must be completed by end of March 2013. Tasks required for each lot will include: – Approval of grant eligible work for payment of grants – At least one site visit per place of worship – Regular, monthly, reports to the local Casework Officer – Attendance at the English Heritage local office in Northampton if required Following successful completion of the PQQ stage, it is envisaged that the top 3-5 scoring applicants for each lot will be invited to tender. Tenders can apply for one or more lots, however are only required to submit one completed PQQ. The Contract will be awarded for each lot to the contractor offering the most economical tender in respect of the criteria set out in the invitation to tender documentation. The closing date for download and submission of the PQQ is Friday 4th May at 17:00 hours. PQQ’s should be submitted for the attention of Michael Payne, either by e-mail michael-payne@english-heritage.org.uk , quoting ‘ Architect – Lincolnshire 2012’ in the subject field, or by post to: Michael Payne, English Heritage, 44 Derngate, Northampton, NN1 1UH. It is envisaged that tender documents will be sent out to successful tenderers by the 11th May, for Return on the 1st June.
