Description of the contract

As part of its statutory remit under the Equality Act 2010, the Equality and Human Rights Commission wishes to commission robust research in two main areas. Firstly, we require new research to provide baseline information on the extent of caste discrimination in Britain, which would form the starting-point for a comparative assessment after five years. Secondly, we would like to achieve a firmer definition of caste for legal requirements. The contract will be split into three lots to include these two objectives and also an expert academic seminar and stakeholder event. Suppliers should note that there is no Expression of Interest stage and submissions are required by 09:00 Monday 5th August. We wish to contract by the first week of September.
