Description of the contract

Having invested over £660million in public parks since 1996, HLF is keen to take a more proactive role in advocating the value of quality parks to the public, decision makers and politicians alike. The proposed State of the UK’s Parks report will be a key tool in our advocacy campaign and act as a benchmark of current standards. The report will be used to demonstrate the use and value of well-maintained parks to people and communities, reveal recent changes in the condition and financing of public parks, and identify if their heritage and past HLF investment is likely to be placed at risk as a result of the present and predicted economic environment. The final State of the UK’s Parks report should identify emerging trends or issues associated with the ownership, management, maintenance, staffing and financing of the UK’s public parks
