Description of the contract

The EME programme supports excellent ‘science driven’ studies with an ultimate view to improving health or patient care. Its remit includes evaluations of new treatments, including therapeutics (small molecule and biologic), psychological interventions, public health, diagnostics and medical devices. Treatments or interventions intended to prevent disease are also included. This programme is now giving advance notice of topics to be advertised through its new commissioned workstream. Proposals should be in the form of a substantial collaboration with partners from at least two of the following: industry, the NHS and academia.
