Description

Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) is currently leading a programme called SUSTAIN Lincolnshire, which aims to stimulate demand for, and supply of renewable and resource efficient technologies in Lincolnshire, strengthening emerging industry and achieving SME growth. This programme of activity is joinly funded by LCC, East Midlands Development agency (emda) and the European Regional Development fund (ERDF).

LCC would like to receive proposals for projects that will deliver a business to business collaboration with a UK Knowledge Base organisation. The collaboration should involve the dissemination of best practice from both the Knowledge Base organisation in partnership with leading Lincolnshire Businesses in the Food and Drink Manufacturing and Engineering sectors with Lincolnshire SMEs, identifying solutions that willl help them to save valuable resources, produce less waste, save money and increase profits.

Proposals should include the development of two sector networks for the Food and Drink Manufacturing and Engineering sectors. Proposals that look to concentrate on one sector only will be considered, however funding will be reduced to reflect this.

Its important to note that the funding used to invest in this project includes money from the ERDF PA1 Programme, and as such, applicants and proposed activity must be eligible under ERDF rules. Eligibility criteria can be found in Appendix 1 of the RFQ.
