Description
Lincolnshire County Council is looking at installing Electric Car charging posts at three of its business centres, with grant support from Plugged-in Midlands managed by Cenex. The idea behind these installations is to be seen as a way to future proof the buildings and those who attend them in either a work or visitor capacity.
Until the end of March 2013 there is a 60% Government Grant available for the installation of Electric Car Charing Points at Council owned premises and sites across the East Midlands. This grant covers all eligible costs such as procurement and installation.
Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) is currently leading a programme called SUSTAIN Lincolnshire which aims to stimulate demand for, and supply of, renewable and resource efficient technologies in Lincolnshire, strengthening emerging industry and achieving SME growth. It is a three year programme, running from 1st January 2010 until 30th June 2013 and is jointly funded by LCC and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)”
Suppliers are invited to tender for ground works and charging point supply and installation. Further details can be found in the attached RFQ document.
