The purpose of this contract notice is to advertise North Yorkshire County Council CYPS Risk Taking Behaviours Project. Although this requirement falls under Part B of the OJEU regulations (Social Care) it is proposed to voluntarily use this notice in order to maximise awareness.
This is a new requirement insofar as NYCC are combining what have traditionally been two separate services for young people i.e. sexual health services and substance misuse services. This approach may mean that suppliers have to form a consortium or sub contract with each other in order to provide the required full range of services across the whole of the County.
The intention is to appoint one supplier to deliver all of the services across the whole of North Yorkshire and it will be for them to implement workable solutions to ensure all aspects of the requirement are provided in all areas.
TUPE is not considered to be a likely factor because of the way this service differs so significantly from the current arrangements. However, a notification has been sent to all the current providers seeking the relevant information which will permit bidders to develop an accurate pricing structure, should a bidder perceive that TUPE is a live issue.
