The Yoke Pin assembly on the 1973TS Bogie has been redesigned to accommodate the loading required with increased mileage and passengers. The 1973TS Bogies is to be modified and refurbished to include these new pins. This is summarised as follows.
Work Stream 1: yoke pins (axle box mounting pins).
The casting and machining to finished size of the yoke pins to tube lines design.
Work Stream 2: bogie modification.
The bogie modification involves removing the existing Yoke Pins and fitting the new ones, NDT testing for other potential components or areas prone to failure as well as replacement of parts or welding where necessary to ensure the integrity of the Bogie structure is retained.
These 2 work streams have been divided into 3 Lots, please see Appendix B for details.

III.1.1)Deposits and guarantees required:

A bankers bond guaranteeing performance of the contract and / or an Ultimate Holding Company Guarantee will be required. Details will be given in the invitation to tender.

Payment will be in pounds sterling and will normally be made by means of electronic funds transfer. Full details will be contained in the invitation to tender document.

No special legal form is required but in the event of a group of contractors submitting an acceptable offer it will be necessary to provide an undertaking that each company will be jointly and severally responsible for the due performance of the contract.

Description of particular conditions: Suppliers expressing an interest in one or more of the Lots described in Annex B will be required to successfully complete a pre-qualification questionnaire relating to each Lot. The pre-qualification questionnaire and associated documents are to be provided upon companies expressing an interest in this contract. The Pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued electronically upon request by the contact point mentioned in Section 1.

This is Tube Lines Limited’s last call for competition i.e. this notice is a call for competition in accordance with Directive 2004/17/EC. It is not intended that any further call for competition be made although Tube Lines Limited reserves the right to place further calls at its sole discretion.
Interested parties should also note:
— Tube Lines Limited ‘s conditions of contract will apply. Full details will be included in the invitation to tender document,
— The contract and any matters, including the disputes, arising out of it will be subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts,
