Stevenage Borough Council (SBC) are seeking two suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake a programme of roofing replacement and external planned maintenance works to houses and bungalows owned by Stevenage Borough Council, including:
— Complete re-roofing;
— Replacement of gutters, downpipes, soffits and fascias;
— External redecorations;
— External cleaning of uPVC windows, doors and cladding;
— Brickwork and render repairs;
— Fencing replacement;
— Footpath and apron repairs;
— Replacement of external store doors;
— Replacement of garage doors;
— Replacement of canopies.

The project will comprise the renewal of approximately 2645 roofs with an estimated works value of £15million and planned maintenance works with an estimate value of GBP 800k. It is anticipated that the value of the project will be split equally between the two contractors.
It is anticipated that the contract commencement date will be 3.11.2014 and will expire on 31.3.2017, with the option to extend for up to 12 additional months.
