Description

Leicester City Council’s Economic Development Team have a requirement for Sales and Marketing Training:

Background:

The Creative Enterprise Hub project is an ERDF funded project based at Phoenix Square and managed by the LCB Depot. The Creative Enterprise Hub team is seeking to contract with a number of suppliers to deliver bespoke workshops to creative industry SME’s in Leicester.

As part of the programme, we are looking to commission a trainer to devise some informal and interactive sessions around Sales and Marketing. The sessions should not be traditional “chalk and talk” workshops but innovative practical sessions that attendees will leave with something of value for their businesses.

The overall programme of support has been split into a number or packages around specific themes and topics.

The workshop programme has been developed based upon identified business needs after consultation with SME’s. This package includes three 3-hour sessions:-

• Growing Sales – Finding new Leads
How to grow sales from new and existing markets and how to pitch for new work with new customers. Where to find new customers and how to make the most out of relationships you already have.

• Negotiation Skills
This workshop will demonstrate to creatives how to successfully negotiate without reducing their profit. How to pitch products at the right level and to the right people and understand techniques in how to negotiate with suppliers and customers.

• The Perfect Pitch
This workshop will show attendees how to deliver the perfect pitch and how to increase their success rate. Additionally, the workshop will also help attendees to identify when not to pitch and when an opportunity may not be right for them.

The trainer will be responsible for:

• Booking the training room
• Presentation equipment
• Ordering refreshments for participants if appropriate

The venue must be based in Leicester City to comply with our funder’s guidelines.

Potential participants tend to be centred based at LCB Depot or Phoenix Square and therefore the location of the sessions should be carefully considered to ensure maximum attendance at the workshop. The time of the proposed workshops should also reflect our target group.

Creative Enterprise Hub is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and therefore all documents relating to this activity will have to adhere to our funder’s guidelines, including the use of ERDF logos on any presentation slides and hand-outs. The ERDF publicity toolkit is available at https://www.gov.uk/erdf-national-guidance

Creative Enterprise Hub team will be responsible for:

• Checking the eligibility of clients before enrolling them onto the workshop
• Marketing the sessions
• All booking administration
• Registration at the sessions
• Monitoring and evaluation with the participants during and following the workshop

A high percentage of creatives tend to have dyslexia, therefore Organisations should ensure their delivery methods this is taken into account in planning the support.
Where possible, we would like the support to be innovative and interactive with practical tasks and examples. Participants should be able to use hand-outs and templates during and after the session within their business.
