1) Scope

To provide every pupil, member of staff and guests at Breakspear Primary School who so requires a nutritionally balanced hot meal at lunchtime and break time healthy snack that meets the food standards as laid out by 2014 No 1603 The Education (The Requirement for School Food Regulations (England) 2014.

2) Outputs

Provide a delivered-in catering service for all pupils, members of staff and guests. Please note that the school does not have a kitchen.

Delivered-in service requirements

The provision of a hot lunchtime meal for all children attending Breakspear School each day.

The service provider will:

— maintain a stable team of trained, dedicated, motivated and customer orientated personnel;

— be proactive and responsive to the changing needs and expectations of pupils and staff;

— seek to develop and promote the service for the benefit of the school;

— maximise the efficiency of the service;

— use recyclable materials and packaging wherever possible;

— provide allergy advice on all packaging where required.

Due to Covid-19, the school had to postpone the tender procedure, however the tender must happen to demonstrate best value. Due to the contract start date the tender must be evaluated and completed to allow for TUPE to occur to comply to official regulations and service implementation.
