The final award of the contract will be the school’s decision and they reserve the right not to award a contract and to withdraw from the process without being liable for any costs incurred.
The contract will be awarded on a 3 year basis with the option to extend for a further 2 years (1+1).

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
Prior to the date for return of tenders, the School may clarify, amend or add to the documentation. A copy of each such instruction will be issued by the School to every tenderer and shall form part of the tender documentation. No amendment shall be made to the tender documentation unless it is the subject of such an instruction. You should promptly acknowledge receipt of such instructions.
The School reserves the right to reject any organisation from the tender exercise where the tender response contains significant non-compliances.
The contract will commence on 1.1.2017 for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years (1+1). A review of service from both parties concerned will be completed on a termly basis.
The School does not undertake to award the Contract to the lowest priced tenderer but will determine which tenderer in the School’s opinion and on the basis of both cost and quality considerations, will provide best value for the School.

Description of particular conditions: The contract shall run for 3 years with the possibility of extending for a further 2 years (1+1) from 1.1.2017 to 31.12.2021. It is an essential requirement that all staff engaged on this contract are vetted by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All costs associated with DBS vetting will be met by the successful contractor. Non-vetted personnel will not be allowed on any site. The successful contractor will be expected to have submitted the appropriate number of completed DBS forms prior to the start date of the contract. This contract is subject to the TUPE regulations, details of which the contractor is to seek from the current contractor (details provided within the specification).

Contractors wishing to be considered for inclusion in the tender process must complete and return a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and the Specification by the date and time in para IV.3.4) The Questionnaire and supporting documentation can be obtained from Worcestershire County Council e-Tendering Portal located on the website (www.worcestershire.gov.uk/tendering). Contractors must be registered on the Worcestershire County Council tendering portal in order to access documents. Once logged in, the documents referring to this particular contract can be located under Catering Services, Equipment and Supplies.
Vetting: It is an essential requirement that all staff engaged on this contract are vetted by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Transfer Undertakings Protection of Employment Regulations (TUPE). This contract is subject to the TUPE regulations, details of are supplied with the Invitation to Tender documentation.
The contract shall run from 1.1.2017 to 31.12.2021 — it is a 3 year contract with the possibility of extending for a further 2 years (1+1).
Conforming tenders to be submitted. Thereafter, variants may be offered but the School does not bind itself to accept any variants. The School reserves the right not to award a contract or to award any option(s) it so wishes. Contractors selected to submit a tender should not assume that their selection implies any recognition or acceptance of their suitability to undertake the contract. In the event of the tender response being inadequate, in either the number of bids received or the quality of bids received, the School will move automatically to the negotiated procedure without a further notice. 1 contractor will be awarded the contract.
