Main site or location of works, place of delivery or of performance: There are 300 schools in Gloucestershire providing Primary, Special and Secondary levels of education in Gloucestershire. Early indications are that the school catering contracts will cover a total of. 88 Primary schools cooking and serving traditional meals and producing hot and cold meals for dining centres 69 Dining Centres and 2 Secondary Schools with Cafeteria Services. Any variations to the above numbers will be made clear in the subsequent tender documents issued to prospective contractors.

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking Contractors to deliver a high quality school catering service, which will deliver best value for community taxpayers, schools, parents and pupils using the service. The selected Contractor must operate a catering service which provides a choice of beverages and nutritionally balanced, healthy meals and snacks, fully complying with all relevant food safety regulations and the Statutory National Nutritional Standards which reflect the cultural and medical dietary needs of the
customers.
