The achieving for children is looking to conduct a soft market engagement exercise information on readily available services and appetite of suppliers ahead of commencement of a tendering exercise leading to the appointment of a contractor on covering schools in Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK) and London Borough of Richmond (LBR). RBK primary schools currently serve a total of some 4 500 pupil lunches per day, split roughly 40:60 between paid and free school meals.
The LBR primary schools currently serve a total of some 6,500 pupil lunches per day, split roughly 30:70 between paid and free school meals.The schools will be responsible for the provision of facilities as well as the supply and repair of heavy equipment, but the contractor will be responsible for all light equipment replacements and food, labour and operating costs.
Collaborative tendering will be on behalf of around 24 primary schools in Kingston and 34 primary schools in Richmond.

Outcomes:
• there will be two contracts one for primary schools approx. 57 and one for 3 secondary. Can bid for one or both;
• meal numbers in primary in 2019/20 were approx. 4 500 in RBK and 6 500 in LBR per day.
Soft Marketing indicative activity dates:
• submission received on Friday 24 July 2020 at 2 p.m.
Evaluation of responses 27 July 2020-31 July 2020.
Invitation to virtual meeting week commencing 10 August 2020.
• virtual meeting with the buyers proposed dates are 20 August and 21 August 2020.
A collective meeting will be virtually held on the dates stated above between 10.00-10.30 am followed by 30 minute individual slots.
