P16-0183 Workplace Innovation Masterclasses

Description of the goods or services required

The objectives of the project are to increase the scale and rate of implementation of Workplace Innovation and progressive people practices in Scottish companies through a series of Masterclasses which will raise awareness of the business benefits of this approach and promote an understanding of best practice principles.

The Workplace Innovation Masterclasses will be open events, available to ambitious and growing companies located across SE’s geographic area. Attendees are anticipated to be senior leaders that are interested in developing their understanding and capability to implement a Workplace Innovation strategy and progressive people practices within their business. These events should raise awareness of the business case for Workplace Innovation including, increased innovation, productivity, efficiency, employee engagement, employee retention and reductions in absenteeism.

The supplier should suggest topics/themes for a series of events based on their knowledge and understanding of the emerging research and best practice in this area, however they should ensure they are cognisant of the themes identified by the Fair Work Convention and incorporate these into the programme of events i.e. Opportunity, Fulfilment, Security, Respect and Effective Voice.

The supplier is encouraged to use a blended methodology in the delivery of the masterclasses and an innovative and interactive approach is encouraged.

The supplier will identify appropriate speakers and subject matter experts to cover a range of topics related to Workplace Innovation and will organise the logistics and delivery of the masterclasses at a variety of locations across SE’s geographical area. SE will be responsible for organising a suitable venue and catering for each event.

The audience size will be variable – between 25-50 participants – and will be targeted at senior leaders and change agents with the authority and desire to drive transformational change within their organisations through progressive people practices. It is anticipated that these will be half day events; each event should last a minimum of 3 hours and provide an opportunity for networking.

Potential suppliers should be able to demonstrate their expertise and knowledge in relation to designing, delivering and co-ordination of similar masterclass events to a cross section of business leaders.
