Prior to the issue of the Tender/Contract Notice the Council is inviting current and potential service providers to participate in a soft market testing exercise. The exercise is designed to canvass market opinion on the proposed approach to secure accommodation for young people. The survey offers an opportunity to contribute your views to shape this service, the questionnaire informing this exercise can be accessed through the following reference 8F9586295P. Potential bidders will not be prejudiced by any response or failure to respond to this notice.
The service will include the operation and management of safe and supported accommodation/provision and interventions for young people between the ages of 15 to 17 whom have been bailed and who are awaiting court proceedings.

The publication of this notice does not commit the Council to any particular procurement process to appoint a service provider or to the taking forward of the project.
Potential Service Providers must note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an invitation to participate in this or any future procurement that the Council may conduct, nor that the Council will procure any such services or accept any proposals offered.
Please note that this notice has been issued by the Council purely as a notification to potential service providers that the Council is considering procuring this service. Any procurement of services by the Council will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
The soft market questionnaire responses are requested for submission by 5pm 1 February 2013.
The Council reserves the right to amend the scope of their requirements as described in this prior information notice.
