Cardiff Community Housing Association (CCHA) is looking for a supplier to undertake Servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm and fire protection systems in CCHA properties (housing stock and administrative buildings). CCHA has approximately 120 properties in which the fire alarms and protection systems require serving and maintenance.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Contract comprises of the Servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm and fire protection systems in CCHA properties (housing stock and administrative buildings) to ensure properties meet current Regulations. Fire protections systems include Fire Fighting Equipment, Emergency Lighting as well as Dry Risers and Automatic Opening Vents. The provision of Service may include the removal of existing fire detection and emergency lighting systems and installation of new; upgrading of existing devices and systems; associated builder’s work and electrical infrastructure in connection with both new and existing installations.
The service includes the provision of testing/commissioning and other regulatory and necessary certification.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 35 000 GBP

Description of these options: The length of the contract is for 3 years with the option to extend annually for a further 2 years. Therefore, if all extension were taken, the contract term would be a maximum of 5 years.

CCHA reserves the right to require guarantees and performance bonds or bank guarantees to secure any advance payments/warranty or maintenance as felt appropriate.

Payments will be made in accordance with the standard terms of payment detailed in the tender documents.

If a group of economic operators submit a bid, the group must nominate a lead to organisation to deal with CCHA. CCHA shall require the group to form a legal entity or to undertake joint and several liability before entering into the contract.

Any supplier may be disqualified who:

(b) is the subject of proceedings for a declaration of bankruptcy, for an order compulsory winding up the administration by the court or of an arrangement with creditors or of any other similar proceedings under national laws and regulations;
(c) has been convicted by a judgement which has the force of res judicata in accordance with the legal provisions of the country of any offence concerning his professional conduct;
