It will also cover a range of additional service and maintenance obligations in respect of Landlord’s mechanical installations (cold water pumps, sewage pumps, direct fired water heaters, water hygiene – Legionella testing) and of other service installations (hard wired smoke detectors, commercial kitchen equipment, dry risers and water softeners). All as fully detailed in the Memorandum of Information and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire which will be issued to respondents to this Notice.

The contract will have an initial annual value of GBP 5.20 m for service and maintenance and GBP 7 m for new installations, giving a total of GBP 12.2 m per annum. Over the life of the contract this is expected to rise to an annual value of GBP 19 m. This is equivalent to GBP 160 m over the 10 year life of the contract. Full details of the calculation of this value will be provided in the Invitation to Tender.

Description of particular conditions: The selected Service Provider will be required to offer a TUPE transfer to all qualifying staff currently engaged upon the contract. The selected Service Provider will be required to demonstrate that all relevant employees engaged upon the contract are qualified to the appropriate requirements of the Gas Safe register and/or any other relevant Certification Bodies.
