Description of the contract
Southend on Sea Borough Council Public Health Team is inviting expressions of interest from established, suitably experienced organisations, to deliver Sexual Health Promotion and HIV Prevention Services for Southend. These services will focus on (i) promoting key sexual health messages and HIV/STI prevention messages, (ii) engaging populations most at risk of HIV and STIs through a range of targeted interventions, and (iii) delivering health promotion, HIV prevention and self-management interventions for people living with HIV. The estimated annual value of this contract is £30k per annum and Southend Borough Council envisages awarding this contract to 1 provider/consortium only. The contract will be for an initial period of 19 months (until 31 March 2015) with an option to extend by up to two further periods of 1 year (subject to funding). The proposed start date is 1st September 2013. The successful organisation must have a comprehensive understanding and proven track record of delivering sexual health promotion and HIV prevention services.
