Description of the contract

Purposec – To cost out and design a proposed remodelling of the seven council owned sheltered housing schemes for older people that enables the council to fully understand and assess the long-term sustainability of the schemes and take decisions about future use and/or development of the schemes. The options appraisal should provide a clear set of designs and costs for developing, redeveloping or decommissioning each scheme. This quantity surveying and design commission follows a detailed sheltered housing options appraisal being undertaken over 2011, on which customers, staff and relevant stakeholders are currently being consulted.
