The Council has a statutory obligation to provide some form of short break or respite provision for children and young people with disabilities.
Lot 1: GBP 530 000 per annum:
This contract is for the provision of overnight and related short breaks for children and young people with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) accompanied by server learning disabilities and/or behaviour which is challenging.
Lot 2: GBP 530 000 per annum:
This contract is for the provision of overnight and related short breaks for children and young people with complex health needs, including those with physical and/or learning disabilities, those who require palliative care (continuing care) and those with associated sensory impairments as well as children and young people with ASD accompanied by server learning disabilities and/or behaviour which is challenging.

This contract is for the provision of overnight and related short breaks for children and young people with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) accompanied by server learning disabilities and/or behaviour which is challenging.
The successful service provider will be required to deliver overnight short breaks and other short breaks services that achieve the overall aim of enabling and supporting children and young people with disability to live ordinary family lives and participate in universal activities. The service will also provide families with a short break form their caring responsibilities.
The successful service provider will be required to provide services for children and young people with ASD accompanied by server learning disabilities and/or behaviour which is challenging.
The service will be provided for children and young people aged between 5 to 18 for daytime short breaks and 6 to 18 for overnight.
