Anglian Water began outsourcing sickness absence monitoring in 2009 with the goal of developing a standardised procedure to support a reduction in sickness absence levels across the organisation. The initial sickness absence figures were 8-10 days per year per employee, this figure has reduced significantly since 2009, with the goal to further reduce the average to enable Anglian Water to become industry leading in this field. In order to achieve this we are looking for a supplier to support us by providing innovative data reporting solutions to enable detailed analysis of absence figures.
Having a deeply embedded customer service ethos, the supplier must have a highly professional contact centre and be able to deal efficiently, within agreed timescales, with calls from Anglian Water employees 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. The Supplier must provide a free phone number to enable ease of access for Anglian Water employees. There should be a recorded message which plays when the call is connected, prior to connection with a contact centre employee, confirming this is the number to register sickness absence from Anglian Water.
Pre-agreed scripts must be used by the supplier’s contact centre employees when handling calls from Anglian Water employees. The Supplier will be expected to provide data on Anglian Water employee absenteeism on a regular and adhoc basis. The reports will be daily, weekly and monthly and the supplier will need to provide detailed monthly trend analysis. Sickness absenteeism will need to be reported in lost shifts and hours. Data requirements may change from time to time and the supplier will be flexible and accommodating when change is required.
The Supplier must be registered with the Information Commissioner under the Data Protection Act 1998. Any data to be stored from this contract must be managed in accordance with the act. As the data is sensitive personal data it must be kept confidential. Any transfer of data between Anglian Water and the Supplier will be security protected with encryption.
