Description of the contract

Central Government has a large portfolio of ERP implementations which require some form of upgrade in order to continue to receive support and to reduce the cost of that support. The Next Generation Shared Services programme is looking to consolidate ERP solutions and deliver standard processes across central government departments. With a large number of Oracle ERP solutions requiring an upgrade we intend to take the opportunity to ensure we maximise the value to the taxpayer before embarking on any major programme, through the use of a short feasibility study. NGSS are therefore seeking an external partner to facilitate and document the workshops and to deliver a high level design and gap analysis and assist in the development of the Outline Business Case.

To participate in this procurement, Potential Providers must first be registered on the Government Procurement Service e-Sourcing Suite. If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link ‘Register for GPS eSourcing’. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so at the Invitation to Tender stage. Full instructions for registration and use of the system can be found at http://gps.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/i-am-supplier/respond-tender Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, you will need to express an interest for the Single ERP Platform for Government – Initial Feasibility and Design Phase procurement. This is done by emailing ExpressionOfInterest@gps.gsi.gov.uk.
