Nexus tendering on behalf of the North East Smart Ticketing Initiative (NESTI) is looking to procure the Services of a supplier of an integrated Card Management System and Web Retail solution that will allow; the NESTI partners to produce, manage and distribute ITSO smart cards and products; and Customers in the NESTI area to access and manage ITSO smart cards and products.
Nexus expect the supplier to demonstrate experience of developing and delivering:
— a Card management system that is able to manage commercial and concessionary ITSO cards and products in addition to non-transport local authority applications,
— a Retail website with integrated payment gateway that is able to retail ITSO smart cards and local authority (non ITSO) products,
— an ITSO Part 11 solution that must have achieved full ITSO certification by no later that 17.9.2012.
The NESTI Travel Concessionary Partners include:
— Darlington Borough Council,
— Durham County Council,
— Hartlepool Borough Council,
— Middlesbrough Borough Council,
— Nexus (Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority),
— Northumberland County Council,
— Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council,
— Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
Nexus require the supply of 3 elements that will work together as an integrated system:
— a Card Management System,
— a Retail Website,
— an ITSO Certified Part 11 solution.
