II.1.4)Short description:
This PIN is being issued to inform the marketplace that Essex County Council (the Authority) is currently looking at the longer-term options for the ongoing provision of a Social Care Case Management system (SCCM) for adults, children and finance.
This includes consideration of other social care applications that can be aligned. It is anticipated that any new, long term contract will commence following completion of a full assessment of business needs for the future, full market engagement, and sufficient time for implementation and transition from current arrangements.
This notice is to update the market on our current situation and confirm that we may go out within the next 12-24 months for the longer-term procurement.
II.1.6)Information about lots
II.2.3)Place of performance
II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
Our current SCCM contract will expire in July 2021, and it is planned to implement a short term, interim contract from this date to permit a period of time for the Authority to refine its system scope and requirements, for a longer-term contractual arrangement. The Authority’s ambition is for change, we are looking at digital partnerships for future suppliers and moving away from services being procured as like for like.
We intend to organise and hold an engagement event with the market to better inform our longer-term solution and gain a better understanding of the market options, and direction of development for case management. If you would be interested in being part of any future event/s of this nature then please provide full contact details to Procurement Services via e-mail to Laraine Tolson laraine.tolson@essex.gov.uk, and Melanie Bailey melanie.bailey@essex.gov.uk. The team will register your interest. Any interested parties will be sent further information on any future event/s that we organise for the longer-term Procurement
Any communication regarding the interim procurement and longer-term procurement should be via procurement services. Any communications should be directed to Laraine Tolson or Melanie Bailey.
