Creating opportunities for Social Inclusion for people with a disability
Please note: This is a soft market test not a formal tender exercise. Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to increase the number and types of things for people with a disability to do in the day, evenings and at weekends. Barnsley Council intends to develop a zero hour framework contract for providers wishing to offer services to this client group. We have decided to embark on a Soft Market Test (SMT) exercise prior to the Procurement process to obtain views of the market in the following areas: Knowledge, understanding and impact of developments and risks associated with the delivery of these types of services for people with a disability. Organisational planning and resources in place to deliver a sustainable range of services that are socially inclusive. Indicative prices for providing services which reflect different levels of need, i.e. from re-enablement through to personal care. Potential opportunities to work with other services. Market view on accreditation offering no guarantee of work. Innovative ideas/knowledge/experience around increasing take-up of day opportunities. Barnsley Council is looking for responses demonstrating an understanding of the above from organisations with experience and expertise in this field. The responses to this questionnaire will be used by the Commissioning group as part of an information gathering exercise to assist in framing the project ready for procurement. Completion of this questionnaire and any involvement in the Soft Market Test does not confer any right or expectation that the organisation will be selected for any further tender should a procurement exercise be undertaken. Please read the Declaration on the final page of this document.
