Description
The successful provider will be required to conduct a social marketing campaign that positively influences people with learning disabilities knowledge, attitudes and behaviour towards health maintenance and improvement. The campaign will initially clarify key health messages and determine preferred communication strategies by which people with learning disabilities and their carers can be informed about ways to enhance health or avoid health risks. It is expected that the delivery of these key messages will include dissemination of health information via broadcast, print or electronic media. And that this approach will be supported by the delivery of, interpersonal and community events, designed to inform, persuade or motivate behaviour change such that an increased number of individuals with a learning disability seek early and repeated support to address health issues.
