Description
Nottingham City Council recognises that is has an environmental responsibility and is committed to improving its environmental impacts through coordinated environmental management. The Council has identified the need to provide a cleaner environment through more energy efficient systems and renewable technology. This will fit with one of the City Councils key manifesto objectives of reducing the City’s energy bills and carbon footprint.
The Council is therefore seeking quotations for the supply, delivery and installation of Solar Powered waste compacting street litter bins, which are to include a wireless monitoring system that will notify electronically when the litter bin becomes near to capacity. The litter bins are to be powered by a stand-alone renewable energy source. All hardware, software and ancillary items relating to the bins and the monitoring system are to be included.
The Council will also require maintenance, including provision and installation of spare parts.
