The current systems in MHS were installed and maintained by CNT in 2007. This included the entire infrastructure with the exception of network equipment (managed by Virgin). Over the past few years MHS have brought expertise necessary to manage and maintain all systems in-house. This now means there is no longer a need for such a high level support contract for all systems; however, it has been acknowledged that one area where this is still necessary is in regard to Solaris servers and the applications hosted on them.

Merlin Housing Society currently use Oracle VDI based servers (SRS and SSGD) and thin clients to deliver Windows desktops to around 300 users. These servers are virtualised running on VMWare ESX5i servers. There is currently a need for a managed service for these systems to provide a stable and smooth working environment for all users.

Dear Supplier,

Kind Regards,
