Spatial data infrastructure and web mapping platform
Brecon Beacons National Park
Brecon Beacons National Park Authority (the Authority) seeks to replace its current spatial data infrastructure (SDI) with a central storage which is then served out to desktop and web applications. Geospatial information is critically important to many of the Authority’s core functions. Currently much of the spatial data is held in flat files and duplicated in a few instances due to certain constraints between systems. This leads to a situation where multiple copies of the same data are stored, maintained and backed up.
The Authority is looking to establish a partnership with one or more developers that can meet the requirements of providing and/or developing technologies that will improve the SDI and provide a web mapping platform. We are looking for the completion of the project by end March 2011.
