Buckinghamshire Council is tendering for The Provision of a Specialist Residential Short Breaks Service for Young People aged 11 – 19 with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Behavioural Needs (Referred to as The Vines).
Buckinghamshire Council (BC) is tendering for The Provision of a Specialist Residential Short Breaks Service for Young People aged 11 – 19 with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Behavioural Needs (Referred to as The Vines) This will be provided in a specifically designed 6 bed residential unit that will be leased to the provider from the Local Authority. The provider will need to demonstrate a high level of skill in delivering a service to young people with high levels of complex needs and a robust knowledge of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Whilst maintaining the current service delivery the provider will be required to work with BC to optimise service delivery to ensure cost efficiencies whilst maintaining a high-quality service. The current specialist residential short breaks provision for complex behaviour needs is contracted to an external provider which is due to expire and therefore TUPE may apply. The contract start date is 1st April 2022. The contract term is 24 months with the option to extend for up to 12 months. A budget cap has been set at £1,760,000.00 for the initial contract term (24 months).
