Description of the contract

DCLG are looking for a contractor who will seek sponsorship to support the implementation of DCLG’s digital strategy. This will primarily involve enhancing the existing activities, known as the “Really Useful Day Events Programme,” and introducing new audiences from within the sector to the events. Whilst that is the focus of this contract, we are also looking for a partner to provide communication expertise to augment our existing resources, which will be funded through sponsorship obtained by the successful bidder. Duration: The initial term of the contract is an 18 month period. However, CLG reserves the right to terminate at September 2013 if appropriate sponsorship has not been secured. CLG also reserves the right to extend the contract by a total of 3 years, awarded on a year by year basis. Therefore, the maximum contract length, including extension is 4 ½ years.
