The Borough Council of Calderdale is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified organisations that have the capacity to provide:
Domiciliary care services to adults living in the community, including older people and/or people with a physical disability.
Providers must have a presence in the Borough or its very near locale, and must have a workforce in place that is able to take on work immediately.  The provider must be willing to take all durations of packages, some of which are of 15 minute duration, and may require a single or double up carer calls which will be delivered on a time and task basis.
Domiciliary Care Services will be individually specified by the Council, but may be required up to seven days a week for each household, including Bank Holidays and at weekends, between the hours of  7 am and 11 pm, for 365 days per year (366 in a leap year), within a designated Zone
The Borough is divided into four distinct zones Upper Valley, Lower Valley, Halifax North & East and Halifax South & Central. Providers will be expected to be able to work across two or more zones, which include some outlying rural areas particularly in the Upper Valley; a list of areas within the zones is attached.
At present there is up to 500 hours of care available within the Borough. The allocation of these care services will be on a spot purchase basis.
It is envisaged that those providers who are deemed suitable by the Council for the provision of these services, will be invited to a formal discussion with the Contracts Procurement Team.
