Rotherham Council is inviting bids from organisations who might be able to provide services that meet the Council’s current needs for Stairlift and Hoist Maintenance and Repair.
This contract will provide the residents of Rotherham in private and Council properties with scheduled services and repairs including 24 hour call-outs.
The service also includes the removal and installation of Stairlifts and / or hoists and storing of the equipment as and when required.
The Agreement will be split into two lots:
– Lot 1 – The Maintenance of Stair lifts, Curve Lifts and through-floor lifts.
– Lot 2 – The Maintenance of Hoists and through floor lifts.
The framework will be awarded initially for a period of one year with the option to extend at the sole discretion of RMBC for a further three years on a year by year basis thereafter.
Total spend over the 48 month contract period is expected to be £440,000.00, however this does not carry any guarantee of turnover and that any estimated volume of business is indicative and may vary upwards or downwards depending on Rotherham Councils actual future needs. The spend is split across the two lots:
– Lot 1 – £340,000.00 over the agreement period (£85,000.00 per annum)
– Lot 2 – £100,000.00 over the agreement period (£25,000.00 per annum)
Although the contracting authority for this notice is Rotherham Borough Council, it is intended that other contracting authorities will be able to avail themselves for the goods and services under the framework agreement, the council will act as the contracting authorities’ agent and the contracting authority will have a contractual relationship with the appointed contractor.
