The requirement is split into 2 lots. We are seeking to appoint one Supplier for each lot.
Lot 1 – statutory insurance inspections and testing.
This involves carrying out statutory insurance inspections and testing for various assets across Heathrow Airport in accordance with prevalent statue law at the time. The ranges of assets included but are not limited to boiler and other pressure plants, lifting and handling plants, local exhaust ventilation systems, escalators & moving walkways, manual passenger, goods and service lifts.
Lot 2 – water quality management testing including Legionella (L8 testing).
This involves creation of Legionella management plan for Heathrow Airport, carrying out L8 water quality sampling and testing, annual risk assessments for water systems and cooling towers, periodic audits, provide guidance and training to HAL team. The scope may also include carrying out tap temperatures checks and cold water tank checks across Heathrow Airport.

This involves carrying out statutory insurance inspections and testing for various assets across Heathrow Airport in accordance with prevalent statue law at the time. The supplier is required to ensure HAL is compliant by ensuring timely completion of statutory inspections, engaging effectively with HAL team and key stakeholders and adhering to all the Heathrow Airport processes and procedures.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: A standstill period will be incorporated at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Utilities Contracts Regulations (SI 2006 No 6) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court.
