II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
NHS England is intending to commission a provider for substance misuse services for HMP Onley and clinical substance misuse services for HMP Rye Hill. The key objectives of the procurement are to commission the Services to:-
— Secure a high quality Substance Misuse Services service HMP Onley and for HMP Rye Hill, from the most economically advantageous bidders.
— Secure providers to deliver high quality care which meets the needs of the populations of both prisons.
— Find a provider who is able to work effectively and in partnership with the prison service within a secure setting.
— Establish contracts for services that have been market tested to represent best clinical quality.
This contract will be for a duration of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 years. This procurement is being carried out in accordance with the Light Touch Regime.
