Tenders may be submitted for one or more lots
The requirement is for the supply and delivery of a range of Ambient Meals (Including nut free, gluten free, and vegetarian) and In-Cup Drinks to MPS Custody Sites across London for all Detainee Feeding.
The requirement is split in to 2 Lots.
It is the intention of the MPS to invite tenders from Bidders who are capable of fulfilling both lots. However, in order to achieve value for money the MPS reserves the right to invite tenders from potential Bidders interested in one lot only and to award contracts to more than one Bidder.
The MPS estimates the value of its requirement, for all lots (as shown below) to be GBP 945 000 over 2 years.
The estimated total contract value is GBP 1 173 000 over 2 years.
Lot 1 Ambient Meals:
MPS estimated value GBP 750 000 over 2 years.
GMP estimated value GBP 183 000 over 2 years.
Estimated volume over 2 years is:
MPS 350 000.
GMP 95 000.
Lot 2 In-Cup Drinks:
MPS estimated value GBP 195 000 over 2 years.
GMP estimated value GBP 45 000 over 2 years.

Estimated volumes and values cannot be guaranteed and are taken from historical information.
The MPS service requirement is mainly pan-London within the M25.
All MPS Custody units require food for Detainee meals for every day feeding over a 24 hour period.
All items supplied during the period of the contract must fully comply with all relevant provisions of the Food Safety Act 1991 and the conditions of production shall comply with the Food Hygiene (General) Regulations.

Section III: Legal, economic, financial and technical information
(a) is bankrupt or is being wound up, where his affairs are being administered by the court, where he has entered into an arrangement with creditors, where he has suspended business activities or is in any analogous situation arising from a similar procedure under national laws and regulations;

(k) has been the subject of a conviction for money laundering, as defined in Article 1 of Council Directive 91/308/EEC of 10 June 1991 on prevention of the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering.
