Description

Currently Leicester City Council has a requirement for some Emergency Radio Equipment and associated infrastructure accessories.

Effective systems of communication are always a key element of any event and so the radio system will be used for coordinating the operational council response to major incidents in the city and major high profile public events.

The Festival & Events Unit, Emergency Management Unit as well as Highways would all benefit from the use of the equipment.

The following is to be supplied and installed (where required) :

> 1 x two channel repeater
> 2 x desk top radios
> 30 x DP3400 radios (or equivalent)
> 10 x DP3600 radios (or equivalent)
> 20 x spare batteries
> 40 x radio cases & straps
> 60 x ear pieces
> Bespoke flight case to accommodate 40 radios
> 3 x six way charger
