The contract will comprise two main Lots:- Lot A will be for the Supply and Installation of both straight and curved stair lifts, and also vertical through floor lifts to domestic or care focused homes on behalf of Hull City Council; Lot B will be for the provision of a comprehensive Repairs, Servicing, and Maintenance service for all stair lifts and vertical through floor lifts in public sector dwellings within the Council boundary. The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 36 months, with options to extend the contract, subject to satisfactory performance by up to 2 further periods each of 12 months.

Accelerated restricted
Justification for the choice of accelerated procedure: There is an urgent need to tender for new contract arrangements to enable award recommendations to be made very early in the New Year 2013. Additionally, the Council is very shortly (31.12.12) to change supplier arrangements for the provision of it’s electronic tender portal facility (SCMS Alito), and there is a requirement to complete the tender process for this contract on SCMS Alito prior to this date.

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: Pre-Qualification Questionnaire submissions will be assessed on a number of Threshold and scored Quality assessment questions. Qualifying submissions will then be ranked in order of the number of marks scored from the Quality elements:- those scoring the highest marks will be shortlisted for the Invitation To Tender stage.
