These materials will be designed to meet the diverse range of learning and development needs of the adult social care workforce in England to ensure it is ready and capable to deliver the changes required by the Act. The materials will be able to be tailored to meet the individual or collective needs of each Council.
The Skills for Care materials are expected to be available from October 2014 along with comprehensive guidance making clear links between the new materials and existing relevant standards, principles, qualifications frameworks and learning and development resources.
Indicative tenders can be uploaded for evaluation at any time throughout the duration of the dynamic purchasing system; initial indicative tenders 15.10.2014
Admittance to the Dynamic Purchasing System will be subject to providers meeting minimum criteria.
Once the learning materials have been published and councils have agreed training plans and their required learning programmes, requests for quotations will be issued to providers admitted to the Dynamic Purchasing System. Recognition will be given to training providers that are endorsed by the National Skills Academy and/or The College of Social Work to deliver training, should this be recommended or required by Skills for Care.
