We are therefore seeking a company to supply and deliver seven pump rescue ladders by The Authority’s preferred date of the 29.2.2016 with an option (subject to the sole discretion of the Authority) to procure a further seven vehicles in financial year 2016-17.
The PRL’s are based on a conventional 4 X 2 commercial vehicle; the vehicle requires a gross carrying capacity of 16 000 kg in order to carry the required equipment and personnel.
Economic Operators must have three years experience in this field and be able to demonstrate its technical competence and compliance to the specification.
Economic Operators should also have or be prepared to obtain 5 m GBP public and products liability, 5 m GBP employer’s liability and 2 m GBP defective workmanship insurance cover and be able to prove financial stability. They must adhere to health and safety regulations and have a quality control system in place.
It is anticipated that the contract value for the seven PRL’s will be in the region of 1 700 000 GBP (3 400 GBP if the option is taken) Contract award is expected to be mid March 2015 (subject to contract) with a preferred delivery date of 29.2.2016 for the initial supply.
Economic Operators who meet all of the mandatory requirements at selection stage will be carried forward to award stage, scoring criteria can be found within the tender documentation.
